Tooltopia is a site I've purchased some hand tools and a few other things from. Got an email tonight about their sale from today through Thursday

The particular item is at a VERY competitive price and it adds some freebies and no extra cost for shipping.

If you're thinking about getting a rotary polisher, this would be an excellent buy.

The DeWalt is leagues ahead of Craftsman.

It's a high end professional tool. I've been using them for a long time.

I buy from these guys alot, and they seem to offer this same tool (minus gloves) for a bit less even.

If anyone's interested,

That looks like a sander,, Id suggest a random orbital polisher like the porter cable 7424

You can find them new on ebay even cheaper too

it really depends on your experience. if your experienced with these then the dewalt will be a better choice over the PC. but if your new to it the PC is a good choice. the PC is a good over all tool to have in you detail arsenal. but ill always grab a dewalt first.

It's a rotary polisher. Yes, it is labeled as a sander/polisher, but my reason for posting here is for polishing. This is a tool that many, many professionals have used for decades. Before DeWalt and Black & Decker got together, B&D used to have their name on the unit.

Interestingly enough, the Porter Cable 7424 is a sander. These tools are designed as wood sanders.

Roughly 15 years ago, the idea of using them as a final finish polisher for car paint caught on. They were a cheaper, lighter weight alternative to the Cyclo polisher from the 1950s, developed for US government use.

5150Kon is right about the use of both tools.

PC is nice. I like the Makita Rotary better.....its lighter!! The Metabo is the best on the market though.

anyone who claims DeWalt to be professional grade must not use there tool in the enviroment I do.... I have had zero luck with Dewalts out lasting Craftsman

I have had luck with Milwaukee's though

Nate diggity I have to totally agree with you as my Craftsman is about 15+ years old, and has been throught some lousy conditions.

My other choice would be Milwaukee as well, Besides living near Milwaukee, maybe part of the reason, but you know as well as I that a Milwaukee sawzall cannot be topped by a Dewalt which is just a imitator.
