If you use the "search" tool you will find a million threads asking the same question, but to make it easy on you; I suggest you purchase the Transgo HD2 shift kit along with some corvette servos.

The Transgo kit is about $130 and comes with a good instructional video.

So what would i expect to pay to have my tranny shop install this kit and servo in my truck? i would love to do it myself, but the time is a limiting factor right now.

i asked my local shop and the said somewhere around 300-500 for the upgrade, laughed and walked away.

I'm one of those guys that paid for it. I brought in the hd2 kit, corvette servo, pinless accumulator piston and hardened separator plate. The guy said he didn't recommend doing the pinless piston and said if the plate looked good in the tranny he wouldn't replace it. So he denied the piston and plate replacements (whatever, he used to help design these kits for transgo...so I went with it).

So with install, and new filter and flush, he charged me:
