take the front differential, front axle, front drive shaft.
cut the front half shaft so that where it goes to spindle will go back in and you can tighten the bolt back on.

then here is ur 2wd.

I'm just telling ya the easiest way without cutting frame to convert it to 2wd.
go take a look at my cardomain page you will see the pic of how mine converted to 2wd.

hey man here is another build p thread i found http://www.layitlow.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=294543 it really helped me. i was gonna leave the 4wd inand bag it but this really convinced me to just make it a 2wd. im gonna go with a 3 link in back and a setup just like the guy in the post has for the front . i will also more than likely go with 20s to keep from cutting anything. also tahoehtp has been very helpful so if you have anymore questions im sure he would be glad to help you out. tahoehtp just as an update i have decided to go the 2wd route ...just seems mor practical. how far are you from layin frame right now?

yeah I'm on there. that's Slamnfx. he used to live NY he is in Arizona, he sold that one though he got me some pics to reference to setup my stuff. and also Squeaky who actually did the job.
and since you mention, 3link would be ideal, but you probably need to raise the floor on the rear. 4link was easier. I would say 4link and watts works well on tahoe. I'm getting watts soon and redo the setup so I can lay frame.

right now I have bump stop which rasing about 2" in front and prob 2 1/2" on rear (because tire size are larger on rear)
if you go to my cardomain and take a look at it, my skid plate for front differential is about 1"away from hitting. (which I hit if I go small bump while driving air out.)
I need to redo the front cup so that I can get my upper control pass through to lay frame, rear need c-notch so that I can cut the bump stop and lay frame.
here is my cardomain page if you want to check more pics

did you make your own front brackets or did you throw all the 2wd arms and stuff on?

all are orignal stock parts.

right now that's what's being used, I'm going to redo it so I have plate instead like one slamnfx has. way mine is setup, bag will be straight when it's aired up. otherway requires to have plate angled.
