Crane Cams suggested that my tq converter should have a 2500 stall. Does my truck (97 4x4) have the 4L60E transmission? If so isnt it computer controlled? If not anyone have a recommendation for the part I need?

Pauly 10-09-2007, 10:40 PM The TC from a 1995+ S10 4.3 will give you your 2500 rpm stall speed. The cost about $250 from GM. I love mine. Good bang for buck. Read this http://www.theherd.com/articles/torque.html Yes its computer controlled 4l60e. peace Hog oldred95 10-10-2007, 05:49 AM I checked with a local transmission shop that sells Precision reman converters and he gets 180 exchanged for the S10 converter. urnvs 10-10-2007, 01:07 PM Thanks for the info, ended up going with a heavy duty unit from a local reputable re-builder for $230. vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
