i want to lower my 01 z71 silvy in the spring. im not sure how yet, but i want to do it the best way as to keeping the geometry and having the performance of a lowered vehicle. i think torsion keys is out of the question, and i think drop spindles or drop control arms is the answer.
so to get to my question, with winter coming i need new tires, i have 16" stock rims. ive heard or read that the wheel has to be 17"+ for the spindle to clear. and there just happens to be a pretty good deal for a set of 17" stock chevy rims in my area. are these rims going to be OK for the drop spindles, or do i have to go completly aftermarket.
i really dont want to spend the $ on getting 16" snow tires, if im just gonna have to sell them for half the price in 4 months.
thanks alot, much appreciated
