Well yesterday I was saying how great the Superior shift kits are. I dont think my tranny liked it though. After about 50 miles on a fresh rebuild it grenaded. I just got done putting headers on and took it for a test drive. It made it about a mile. ****ing thing blew the modulator ( I think) right out the side of my freshly rebuilt tranny. I guess to much pressure. The truck was in garage for 7 and a half weeks being reuilt and i had it for one day. I didnt even get on it at all yet. I was babying it and making sure everything was all right with headers and was barely accereralting when it blew. I guess I have no luck. This is second time the truck was in for tranny work. This was the second garage. I have owned it for 4 months and have had it in my possesion for less than a week. This ****ing sucks

modualtor? I am kinda lost here are you sure your not talking about the servo more than likley the snap ring wasnt in all the way simple fix really if that is what you are talking about....the 4l60e doesnt have a modualator unless it is a mdification but its inside the pan on that mod.....

I was told it was the modulator but I can be wrong. It was the round cylinder on the side of the transmission case passenger side. If it is a simple fix then I am all for it but that round thing is push out of the case and all fluid ran out

that is the servo cover that popped out from not having the snap ring fully seated there is no modualotr on a 4l60e or even a 700r4 the 4l60e is all electronic the Electronic pressure solenoid took the place of a modualtor on the electronic trannies....the servo is an easy fix if you have all the parts send e an eamil addy and i will send you a exploded diagram of how to put it back together.
