Well, you've got EFILive, JET DST, LS1Edit and HPTuners.

Of those, I'd recommend EFILive or HPTuners. You can download a fully functional demo of EFILive at www.efilive.com.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Tuning isn't something you can just jump into and be a pro at overnight. Each software will have a learning curve, but that's only a small part of the process. The big learning curve is learning to understand what affect each table and parameter will have on the engine and how to choose optimal values for each.

As far as those listed, I'm going to lean towards EFILive. Then again, I'm the instructor for that course as well as a reseller, so I am biased. A lot of people go with HPTuners as well. Either of these two software packages will leave you with a toolset that is complete and powerful. Again, I've used both, I find EFILive to be a bit more powerful and easy to navigate, especially the scan tool.

The other two packages leave a lot to be desired by comparison. Last I checked (a while ago), JET DST and LS1Edit were both just tuning suites and did not offer any scan tool functionality.
