I'm looking for more answers on my Tahoe. What are the pro's and con's of these two methods for getting a 3.5" or 4" rear drop?

What are the pro's and con's of these two methods for getting a 3.5" or 4" rear drop? thekl0wn 10-19-2007, 10:06 AM No one has any input as far as ride quality, towing, etc? :dunno: CKTA 10-19-2007, 10:08 AM Dearched will be fine as long as it's done by a good spring shop. thekl0wn 10-19-2007, 10:47 AM What about buying springs directly from Belltech (well, from Stylin) vs having them dearched? :dunno: CKTA 10-19-2007, 11:06 AM The Bell Tech type lowering springs give you a loss in the load capacity dept. Only an issue if you carry alot of stuff. thekl0wn 10-19-2007, 11:52 AM In the future, there will be some substantial weight put back there in audio, but I'm guesstimating in the area of 500 lbs, so a half in of sag might help to bring it to the 4" mark with 3.5" springs. It may smooth out the ride in the rear as well... :dunno: RaiN 10-22-2007, 12:22 PM I have my rear springs de-arched with a 2inch rear shackle. No difference in ride quality. I do notice some rubbing of the shackle on the gas tank vent on big bumps... other than that its nice. vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
