Looking at this amp to possibly run some components with. I'm buying used, budget around $200-$250 for amp. I remember good reviews of their speakers, but what about the amps?
Also checking out jl 300/4, alpine mrp-f550, and old school ppi a404's and soundstream 644's.

I def. go for the PPI A404, cristal clear, powerful amp for highs. Just love it!!

any of those will be a good choice... Just pick the one that is closest to how much power you need and the price you like... Remember to compare the amps RMS ratings to your speakers RMS rating... Also make sure it is at the right ohm rating...

All of those amps are going to underpower my comps by a fair amount. I can't spend too much on the amp at this point. I just need to get something that will get them going so I can move forward with my install. I plan on going active with my setup. Crossovers controlled at the headunit.
My mids are 8 ohm speakers, long term power handling of 80 watts.
My tweets are also 8 ohm speakers, rms power handling of 200 watts!?!?
These speakers will be lucky to see 25-50 watts at 8 ohms...
Most amps in my price range are 50-100 watts at 4 ohm x 4 channels...
The more I researched it, the less I like the diamond d6 600.4, I've read some negatives about it. The ppi has come and gone on flea-bay a few times, I really like all the positive comments I find on them, its hard to wait for them to show up and then win an auction though.....
I'm tempted to straight out purchase the mrp-f550 as it is abundant, fairly new, and can give 90watts at 4 ohms....the most out of my choices.

Don't worry about the ratings, they are all almost "made up" anyways.
All of your choices are fine, but there are others as well.
What headunit and what mids are you using?

what tweeters have 200 watts rms?

The Morels, Seas Millenium, hell lots of them do but of course that is for a very defined frequency range and will never be necessary in reality although headroom is never a bad idea.

Hey //M5, I got a lot of your feedback in another thread about which speakers to get, so you pretty much have heard all this before. Let me refresh your memory:
HU: Premier DEH-P960MP
Mids: Seas ER18RNX
Tweets: Morel MDT-30S
I'm still struggling with the amp choice. I want something that will do these speakers justice, but I just can't spend a ton on it right now. I would really like to get a 4 channel that can power all four speakers with great SQ.

I wouldn't worry about the SQ of any of the amps you are looking at, but would instead look for the one with the most power. Of course if you add other brands to the mix, I may change my mind.
My memory doesn't keep the crossover points available on the 960, you don't have a link outlining them do you? I just want to make sure you don't need any other help to bandpass the mids. If you did, it may change the amplifier recommendation ;)

Cool pretty much any amp that does the power you want will work. :)

Well, I finally made the purchase. Got the PPI Art Series A404.2 through fleabay.
I figure this will do for now, and if needed I can grab another amp in the future for just the tweets and then bridge this to the mids.
Now, on to the wiring, deadening, and baffles.

Yeah, I know. The whole thing has been slow going. I think I started asking questions back in July about choosing components etc..in this thread:
http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/general-discussion/audio-video-electronics/276437-recommendations-front-components.html?highlight=recommendations
As soon as the amp comes, I'll post some pics of it and the comps, as well as the pic I have of the floor and back wall being deadened.
