What would be the best handling and riding bag setup? I really don't need side to side but I have heard horror stories about leaning from one side to the other. I am not looking for anything fast, don't want it to hop. I could be just to damn picky. Fabrication is not a problem. I am actually leaning toward a cantilever setup for the rear but I thought that I would ask around first. :dunno:

ditto on the six link. 8 valves and shocks front and back.

That is what I figured. Six link it is. I am also kicking around the idea of a watts link, but not in the normal fashion. Has anyone heard of anybody running an EDC on a LT-1? Who makes decent bags? This is going to be my daily ride so it has to be uber-reliable.

never seen an EDC mounted on an LT1...you may end up having to make custom mounts for it but im sure you could make it work...As far as bags i personally am a fan of Slams

Making my own brackets will not be a problem now since I just picked up a EX-CELL-O mill yesterday. Slam makes what? The RE7's?

yes they make re7's which are used by several members including myself.

They make quite a few different bags...the more popular ones are the Re-7s and Re-8s

Sweet. I guess that is what I will be ordering here shortly. Unless, someone has anything better.

Most people usually run 7s all around or 7s up front 8s out back

I don't think that I wil be hauling anything. MIGHT pull a trailer once in a blue moon, so would 7's be alright or should I pop for the 8's for the rear?

well 8s are gonna give you a softer ride because they get more lift at lower PSI...if u plan on towing anything ur more than likely gonna have to have a BOA setup which ultimately rides like crap

I don't plan on towing anything but $hit happens. Right? I absolutely hate the way BOA set-ups look. I don't think that I will go with 8's. I don't want to be driving a waterbed down the highway.I.E. I don't want to soft of a ride. It seems to me that more lift-less psi means the ride will feel spongy even with shocks.

myne actually rides perfect with shocks...rides like a caddy. Dips for the bump and the right back to where it was. The front is a bit spongy but im not running shocks up there yet i plan to this coming summer.

Well that just made my thinking cap a little tighter. Thanks for the late night input, but it is time to go and make some sparks. Maybe my truck will win the fight with my welder. HA!
