Ok, well first of all about a week after i got the truck i put on the mbrp 4" catback system with the muffler,(this was in august), about a week later i ordered the muffler delete, got rid of the muffler and sounded ok, but i like to beable to hear my exaust. So last week i ordered the 4" frontpipe(edit) with the flange, i threw that in there this afternoon and all i can say is wow, it made a huge difference. I didnt think it could get this loud, but now i can say im happy with it. I didnt realize taking off the cat would make that much of a difference. Its also nice because it seems to be running a little smoother, so im thoroughley enjoying it. Just figured ide share

cool, i got a stock downpipe without the cat a couple months back and got rid of mine too, still running stock muffler but it gave it a nice boat engine like sound and it blows more smoke now too, also could feel the turbo spool just a little bit lower than before.

I run all stock pipe with the cat out and high flow manifold, the spool up is fast and I can't feel any hesitation at all. from stop to 90mph, the is no backing off, even to pass from 60-75 is amazing

yeah it amazes me how much faster the turbo spools, it feels so much smoother and is without a doubt quicker. Within the 60-75 mph range it still gets up and goes like nothin.

i always wondered if those high flow manifolds were worth it or not,

it was worth the $350 I spent, but with lower EGT's, my cat plugged off at 25,000km's, They do recommend taking the cat out when you do the swap, and say for optimum performance do a min. of 4" turbo back exhaust, 5" if you plan on 500+rwhp upgrades

Yup cats are worse then mufflers for killing the sound

I am wanting to order me a cat delete pipe and I was wondering if I need something to keep it from throwing codes? Also where can I get a front pipe for my 06 LBZ to go with my cat back AFE 4inch exhaust?
