Since knock sensors are calibrated for cylinder volume what ks would I need, could I use one that is set up for an auto trans?
The truck is a 95 with the 7427 PCM which did not come with manual tranny's and 5.7s only with 4.3 and 7.4s Originally this was a 4.3, I've been using the ks from the 4.3 which I probably shouldn't. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

im not quite understanding what youve got going on. Do you have a manual tranny? if so why cant you just use the ks that goes with the PCM you have. what motor do you have in the truck now?

Sorry for not being clear, the truck now is a 5.7 with a manual trans. The PCM is a 7427, the knock sensor I'm now using came from the 4.3. What is the difference between a knock sensor for an auto vs manual?

Nothing in the later trucks/cars. A six speed LT1 got the same knock sensor as an Automatic.
