I found that Jet makes the dynamic spectrum tuner for the vortec engines... Anyone have any experiance with one? I need to get my Yukon tuned and this looks like a decent deal... 499.99 is what Jet sells it for. I am looking for actual people to get my info from, not a company wanting me to buy thier product.

I would also like to hear about this Jet DST. I found it on Summit for about $475 and wasn't so sure if it was worth it. Anybody? :dunno:

Its pretty much the old Tunercats OBD2. If you are a tuner that knows what he is doing, its a good setup, but its difficult for the nebie to get a grasp of it, there is no support either.
But the choices are limited for the 1996-97 Vortec trucks. EFILive covers the 1998-2000 Vortec 305,350 454 trucks, but dioenst support the 96-97 trucks.
IMO I would swap to teh newer 411 PCM and then use HPTuners or EFILive to tune your Vortec trucks. OR find a used Tunercats OBD2 setup as they have unlimited licensing.
the JET DST doesnthave a scanner or logger like teh EFILive or GPTuners does. Its kinda like tuning blindly.
