What do you recommend for shocks?

I used the belltech shocks.

What's the offset on those wheels? Are you sure they will not hit the fenders in the front?

I don't know what the offset is. I bought them used, and haven't put then on yet because I hurt my back. I think the tires might be to wide. 275/55/20. If they are, I will have to wait to lower it all the way down untill I get new tires. The kit I bought has adjustable shackles.

The tires will be fine if the offset is right

Sorry for the delay, but I seriously injured my back at work, so...... It's been put on hold for now. It sucks!!!!! The Yukon is sitting on jack stands. Rims, lowering kit and shocks waiting to be put on, just sitting there. I guess it's time to call in favors.

Hope the offset on the rims is enough to get them to clear the fenders. I had bought me a set of 22's before I put the lowering kit on- i threw the rim/tire setup on afterwards and they would rub like crazy. The offset was +15. I went down to a 275/45/20 and these cleared although they had the same offset.Good luck

yeap, 3" body lift...enough for now:biggrin: The lowered pic didn't show up for me the first time, does look pretty good.
Hope your back gets better. I've had chronic lower back problems for about 20 yrs now due to lifting wrong when I worked in a steel mill, just have to keep it worked out and lots of meds.

Yeah, thats workmans comp for ya.

The front can go down till the tires rest on the fenders. The front rims stick out to the edge of the fender, so I have it sitting about an 1 1/2 inch between the tire and the fender. The back wheels sit far enough in that they could tuck. I did the shackle/hanger route to keep the stock springs for towwing.
With the new rims/tires and the lowering kit the frame came doen a total of 7 3/4 inches. :rocking:

They are eagle alloy 060s. 20 X 8.5 with a +14mm off set.
They sit about flush with the fender flares with the wheel straight. To tuck, you would need more offset. For the rear they are fine.
