Hello all, Never been part of anything like this before.
My name is Mike, I live in CT now and I have just bought myself a 95 GMC Sierra SLE, K2500. It now has 160k on the motor, 350 TBI, 4x4, Auto, Short bed, X-Cab, Running 33's, No Smoke, Great compression and OK Pull. Trany is tight, shifts on time and smooth.
This is my fist, full size American truck. I have never worked on the Chevy 350 either. I know the motor is tired and not giving me it's all right now, but considering the facts I am impressed.
Any advise will be greatly appreceated, Maintenance, Performance, What GM Crate Motor, and what to look out for. Thank you for such a great web page.:10:

PS. I get 9.5 mpg @ 75mph all highway

welcome!

9.5mpg huh, looks like a tune-up is in order (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and O2 sensors perhaps a thermostat if its running cold) cause it should definatley be around 14-16 with those tires on there. heck in my 'hoe right now in winter, in town, all short trips before it really warms up, i still get 11mpg and that is on 285's. so something is just not right. do some looking around and you should be able to cleanup that motor. oh and seafoam would'nt hurt either.

Welcome to :fsc:

ditto on the tune-up an seafoam!
I would also inspect the exhaust for leaks as well, cuz that can kill the fuel mileage.
