hello all this is my first post here and i am in the process of getting an exhaust system.

i have had flowmaster before on a small pickup i use to have and loved the sound it produced.

the problem im having is there is a local guy around here that i was sent to and he said he can do single in to dual out and come out behind my rear wheels with a flowmaster 40 series exhaust for around 420... then there is a guy that can do a single exhaust off the two cars straight back to the rear and split off to dual tips for under 400 with no muffler..

now i am new to the truck scene and know nothing about truck exhaust systems or how they work..

i know plenty of people that have gone without mufflers and i like the sound that it produces i have heard different configurations on different trucks but i dont want anything raspy at all. i want something with a deep well tuned tone to it.

im not as concerned if i have a little hp loss.. i went from a 127hp 4 banger to a 4.8 liter 297hp v8 so there is a big difference there.

I have a 2008 Gmc Sierra 1500 Crew Cab

Thanks for any wisdom that may come from this

sorry i had to make this into its own post

A flowmaster super 44, or a Dynomax Bullet would be the most aggressive sounding system on your truck if you wanted to still run a muffer. I havn't seen a NNBS with dual exhaust yet. And I don't know what the stock system consist of. On my 91 I'm running a generic flowmaster 40 series single in/out with a custom bent 2.5" tail pipe, and a 3.5" stainless steel tip. I also removed my cat (won't recommend it for your new truck). The prices you quoted sound kinda high, but I live in northern MN were you can get a custom dual exhaust for around $275 on the OBS all day long.
