Best place to buy?

I am gonna get a FLowmaster catback system for my 06 4.8. Best and cheapest place to shop? On a side note: Pros and cons of this motor. Just got the truck, seems pretty peppy. No complaints so far.

i don't know about from cat back but just buying the flowmaster muffler i have always ordered mine from jegs or summit. do a google search that might help. are the 4.8l more stout than the old 5.0l? my truck has the 5.3l in it and i was looking at the kelly blue book site and checking resale values and put the same info in except one with the 4.8l and they have basically the same resale value as the same truck with the 5.3l. doesn't make since to me because new they are quite a bit cheaper than the 5.3l. the dealer said you can't really tell the difference in hp until you try to pull/haul something in it and that they don't get quite as good mpg as the 5.3l. good luck on the exhaust, JD

lots of guys have alotta fun with there 4.8 biggest thing get a custom tune with your boltons and itll be a great fun truck then when u want more drop in a new 6.0 lq9 good luck

I know there are lots of internet places to buy stuff and I figured you guys would know best or most popular one. Want the whole catback system. DOn't seen me swapping a 6.0 in it, I have my Malibu for my speed fix lol. 14:1 408 sbc.

I am looking at catback systems and from what I see all the crew cabs have 5.3's? Mine is supposed to have a 4.8. Never even popped the hood yet LOL. In my owner's manual it says crew cabs are 5.3's also. What gives?

i agree with blkshadow on summit. i order everything i can through summit racing as they always beat my best mail order price. plus, as long as it's in their warehouse i have it in two days.

i did not get the whole system but i did order my flow from summit.

got mine dirt cheap off ebay. u may have to piece it together, but its easy to do.

bowtiemike is your cc a ls? they come with the 4.8l. lt and ltz have the 5.3l. i think stylin trucks sell the cat back systems. jd
