have a quick question about my exhaust

ok i have a 1995 c1500 single cab short bed vortec 6 cylinder and im wanting to get an after market muffler and i was wondering what size pipe mine is going into the muffler and also what size it is exiting the muffler. thanks alot, also if any one has a suggestion on what brand of muffler sounds good on a v6 that would help also.

Are you installing this or is a shop? I ask because most shops can expand and reduce pipes to fit, I think the stock pipe size is 2.75" but dont hold me to that.

As far as what brand; exhaust sound is far too subjective for there to be an overall best. So what sound great to me, you may hate, and vice versa, and frankly, not a whole lot is going to sound good on a v6.
