That LT4 hot cam is a top-end screamer. Definitely would look someplace else before choosing the hot cam. It was meant for a 3300 lb corvette and a pretty souped up engine, the LT4. Kinda like what the_husk is saying

The TBI heads are stuck with a .450-.480" lift maximum.
The LT4 Hot Cam pushes out .492" with 1.5 rockers or .525" with 1.6 rockers.

I'm pretty sure you'd need to grind down the valve guides and get higher lift springs to match the increased lift. Otherwise, I think you'd be fine.

Don't forget that you need to have the roller lifters and the spider to match the roller cam. And if your block doesn't have the 3 bosses tapped for the spider, you'll need to drill and tap those too.

Don't forget that you need to have the roller lifters and the spider to match the roller cam. And if your block doesn't have the 3 bosses tapped for the spider, you'll need to drill and tap those too.

and the cam retaining plate behind the cam's timing chain gear. FWIW, my old 91 block did NOT have the lifter bosses or the holes for the bolts that hold the retaining plate on the cam. LT4 hot is a hell of a cam, probably not for us truck guys and daily driver guys. .02 cents
