Where do you go to see how much any of these trucks are worth? Kelly's bluebook only goes to 88.

NADA Classics section (http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx?LI=1-21-1-5004-502-504-50005&l=1&w=22&p=0&f=5003)
It shows "Low Retail" (meaning: "This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning.") for a '76 4x4 shortbed fleetside at $4,600.00.

But then there's not much of an option list to choose from either. So you'd have to "guesstimate" how much the Custom modified brakes, assorted fluid puddles, and Tupperware taillights are worth.

judging by your descriptions before, and of the problems you have mentioned, i wouldnt go a penny over 1500, and it would have to be a REALLY nice truck for that.

IF and thast a big IF I decide to trade it which either way all that will be fixed. and I'm keeping OEM tail lenses with LEDs nomore tupperware. And the fluids do not puddle. the leaks are not that noticable.

I recently bought (Dec) a 1987 3/4 ton 4x4 Silverado, and used KBB for pricing. Online, 1987 was the last year.

Just checked kbb again and it stops at 1988. Just of changed with the new year.

I printed out the kbb and could give you the pricing (it would be from nov/dec '07)

there's a **** ton of difference between a 30 year old half ton and a 20 year old 3/4 ton. it wont do him any good.

these "what is xxxx worth" threads are pointless.
The truck is worth whatever someone will pay for it.
Hell I bought mine for $1600 when the guy actually wanted $3400 for it. I did not jew him on the blemishes, I told him straight out the truck is not worth that much to me, this is what I will give you for it. After a week he called back and told me to bring the money. Decent body K1500 83, new 31" tires with then, no body damage.

A friend of mine has well over 8K invested in his, and he is full aware that it would not fetch 1/3 of that in a real sale. It's a nice lookin 78 2wd, but it is still worth crap.

You have to realize that you can now get trucks dirt cheap, even early to mid 90's for well under 5k if you know where to look. I know where there is a 92 extended cab with -0- rust running V8 just needs trans rebuilt sitting for $800. It has also been there for almost two years now. I stop and look at it every once in a while.

Personally I always liked the ones with the four square headlights. I took care of the truck baught it for 1100 plus the s10 Blazer I had. Bein an old farm truck it was dogged pretty bad. honestly it needs a new tranny and angine. Needs to be re wired cause hey are not organized. theres various wires and hoses that arent hooked to anything gas guage is the only one that works. Oh I had big plans for it but theres no way its gonna handle a six inch lift 36 baja claws and the addition of a stereo, lights and wench. a Restomod (a second one) is out of my budget. My stang is also under deconstruction mainly needing a new MCU and K-member. I did always wanted a suburban anyways. But I think a Crown Vic id in my future.

I'd like to add a wench to my truck. But the wife won't let me.

obviously someone knows nothing about maintaining a happy relationship. if she ain't happy, you ain't happy. and if she ain't happy long enough, you'll be unhappy with half your stuff.

By the time I get married my lady is gonna have her own car. She already understands my love of cars and modding them. I could understand if I lifted my truck an she has trouble getting in it at stock hieght(which I planned on and she does) but my ride my leftover money. A happy relationship is not fully determined on her happiness alone sorry. Aslong as I dont try an mess with her futur car she's fine.
