Hey fellas i got a 1997 chevy 1500 2wd and i was wondering if a 3inch body lift with 2inch front coil spacers would clear a pair of 285/75/R16 Kelly Safari MSR's with out rubbing. Any suggestions would help thanks!

View Full Version : 285/75/R16's how much lift? vizer 01-03-2008, 03:33 PM Hey fellas i got a 1997 chevy 1500 2wd and i was wondering if a 3inch body lift with 2inch front coil spacers would clear a pair of 285/75/R16 Kelly Safari MSR's with out rubbing. Much better then a BL and will perform better. SierraSLT 01-03-2008, 03:50 PM you would be fine. Instead of a body lift i would suggest 4" spindles from rough country. I have some pics of my 92 1500 with the 4" spindles and a stock rear. I was only running 31's but i had no rubbing at all ** spindles are easier to put on also vizer 01-04-2008, 05:25 PM Im kinda set on the B/L cuz i already got it. What about the tires? I allready got two new ones from my buddy for free, but if they wont perform off road well i wont waste my money on two more. What do you guys think? If they suck what tires would you recomend? vizer 01-04-2008, 05:29 PM By the way, like the 95 alot! 2wdchevywt 01-05-2008, 10:51 AM I ran 265 75 15 Goodyear wrangler rt/s's on my truck and they performed much better then i thought they would. I went through some pretty thick stuff. It all depends on how you drive. tires + driving skill = how far you can go vizer 01-05-2008, 11:24 AM Thanks for the help, ill post pic's as soon as i get it all together! vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
