Hi guys I have an 01 silverado. I put a fabtech lift and bofy lift on it. I also have 37" tires and 4.88 gears. Well when I put the lift on the abs and emergency brake light came on as well as the speedo being off. Well I got a hypertech programmer under the impression it would fix those things but it doesnt. I have to send it back. Does anybody know a way for me to fix my speedo and get these warning lights to go away? I could really use some help and information. Thanks guys.
I tried the dealer too..they cant go high enough
Oh...and I installed my AEM intake today! Sweeett

I just got a diablo sport predator and I used it to fix my speedo. I read in the manual that the gm pcm can only calculate up to a certain tire size before it will disable the abs. idk what size that is but it will still fix the speedo you just won't have abs. like i said i'm not sure what the limit is but its prolly bigger than 37 so you shouldn't have to worry
on top of that I noticed a big difference between before and after I installed the predator. now my truck really gets up and goes unlike before because i am really undergeared

I've got the hypertech, 4.56/35s, and my speedo reads out acurately. As for the abs, that hasn't functioned correctly since I did the gears, thought it would go off when I put the 35s on but it didn't. But it doesn't really matter to me, it's pretty hard to lock up huge heavy tires.

I am just tired of seein those 2 damn lights on in my dash haha. They drive me nuts. The Hypertech only went to 34 and 4.56 gears...only after 04 models did they say they could program above. Is it possible to pull the bulbs out for those lights?

Only went to 34? Mines an 03' and went up above 35. no, you can't pull the lights to make them go out, but I know Superlift has a abs recalibrator, similar to their speedo recalibrator. It hooks inline on the abs wire to give it correct signals. I've looked at them, but for $80-100 for them, I can live with the light.

Some tape will cover those lights!lol I also have a Diablo Sport Predator and I'm almost positive it will go to that big of a tire but I'm not sure on the gears. If you decided to try one or just want to check them out they have a great forum dedicated to their tuners. It is run by Diablo Sport and their staff is there regularly answering questions pretty quickly.

Is there an OBD system or reader that will kill the lights?

I dont understand the whole custom tune thing. I am kinda hesitant about buying something without being able to talk to people face to face. I have been screwed by buying things before. Plus I dont know which tune to get...everyone talks about different ones...

hey man, i had the same issue when i put my 315's on my truck...i have a crane cams programmer...i originally just punched in 35" tires and my brake and ABS lights kept coming on...eventually i just took a tape measure and got the exact height of the tires (33.4") and reprogrammed the truck...i havent had any lights come back on ever since then...granted, i am still running my stock 3.73's

yea...when i told the hypertech guy about this he was like yea i can reprogram for 37's specially and then he was like do you still have stock gears and i told him no and he was like nevermind...kinda bummer but ill prolly just tape it off or something. And i guess ill look into a custom tune sometime soon.
