I was told at a dealer today that the factory installed dual outlet exhaust the you can get for the 5.3 Silverado is not available for the 6.0.
This was for a 2008 xtd cab 4x4. I dont trust the dealer so if anyone could help me verify, I would appreciate it.
I would like to have this installed when the truck arrives.
Thanks!
edit....this is the DEALER installed GM exhaust. I should have been more specific.

My 6.0 has dual in/dual out muffler.. It Y's together right after the muffler into a single tail pipe though..
BTW, its on my Caddy, but GM eitherway..

I am doing a poor job of explaining what I am looking for...sorry guys, In the GM performance catelog at the dealer, you can have a stainless cat back dual 4" tipped exhaust installed at the dealer on a 5.3 silverado but the dealer says it is not available for the 2008 with the 6.0. Why would it be available for the 5.3 and not the 6.0? I guess that is my question. It is just a cat back so what is the diff?
I dont trust this dealer. You would think ordering a new 2008 would make them help me out a little.

If you dont trust them, transfer your order to a different dealer. You dont want to be stuck working with a bunch of clowns for warranty work later..

A factory installed cat back system, just a wild guess, has got to be the most expensive route to go for exhaust.
Are you leaning towards going with a factory supplied performance part installed by dealer techs because of the warranty issues?
I wouldn't let the exhaust stuff with the dealership become a deal breaker, but I would search other options for exhaust and have an exhaust shop do the install if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. This would be much easier on the wallet.
