View Full Version : 4 in spindles??? bmx_hb_boi 01-04-2008, 11:00 PM does any one have any exp. with the 4in lift spindles by springtech off of ebay? Joseph K 01-05-2008, 05:59 PM From what I've read on this board and a few others, their spindles are just fine. Anything else in their kits though, don't touch it. frogg3074 01-14-2008, 07:05 PM I have that kit and I have been using it since October and no probs yet!! I only trail-ride though. Lift was mostly for the looks. Couldnt stand that low to the ground rake!! 01stocker 01-15-2008, 11:06 AM How do the spindles look? Are they built/welded pretty nicely? Do they look like they could take a good beating, nothing like jumping it or anything but some mild offroading? frogg3074 01-15-2008, 09:17 PM They looked sturdy enough. I have heard about people who beat them pretty good and they held up. tonxcab 01-16-2008, 02:19 AM They look sturdy fabtech_chevy 01-16-2008, 02:43 PM they are just like rough country and fabtech ones.. Seem ok to me, i have heard of them having the wrong size holes drilled for BJ's and calipers though.. 01stocker 01-16-2008, 05:12 PM Cool, but strength wise, they seem to be constructed/welded pretty nicely? I was thinking about utilizing some 3/16 flat stock with a couple dimple died holes and welding them onto the sides for added rigidity, and possibly a gusset between the side of the spindle and the part of the spindle where the tie rod will bolt onto. Im not going to be beating on them too hard, just some dunes/desert trips. Joseph K 01-16-2008, 07:05 PM You're going to be pretty hard-pressed to break them unless you take your truck off of jumps or something... they are solid cast iron, so no welding on them. They're one solid piece. fabtech_chevy 01-16-2008, 08:11 PM ^x2 01stocker 01-17-2008, 10:27 AM Really? Wow....i thought they were fabricated?...they looked like it in this thread: http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94032&highlight=springtech Black06 01-18-2008, 02:05 AM :read: They look EXACTLY like the CST 4" spindle.......99% sure they are the same fabricator 01stocker 01-18-2008, 12:37 PM Thats what i thought too, they look identical to the CST spindles....maybe not the same quality but they did look fabricated. ? 01stocker 01-19-2008, 02:37 AM Heres a few pics of the springtech spindles i just got in. Truck will be in the air tomorrow. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Drum4x4885/P1171453.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Drum4x4885/P1171452.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Drum4x4885/P1171451.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Drum4x4885/P1171450.jpg bmx_hb_boi 01-19-2008, 02:35 PM deff. wanna see how it looks....pics plz 01stocker 01-19-2008, 10:23 PM For sure. Camera was dead today, but i put the spindles on and a set of 2" blocks in the rear. Front sits at 40" and rear sits at 38.5". I may end up throwing a 3" block in the rear but maybe not. And the tires are 285/75/16. Will have some pics of it tomrrow after i clean it a little. vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
