First of all, I did search this, and couldn't find a straight answer. And the closest thing I did find, was concerning a '99, and things may have changed since then.
Anyhow, I'm looking for an '04.5-'07 Classic crew cab Duramax. I'd really like to get one with a manual transmission, but I come across those about as frequently as water in the Sahara Desert. Most of the ones I do find with a stick, are work trucks with manual locks and windows.
I need to have power windows and locks, so my question is how hard would this swap be to go-at least cosmetically-100% factory?
Would it simply be buying the harnesses, panels, motors etc., and plugging them into an existing plug behind the dash? Or is it much more difficult than that?
Thanks for the help.

my guess is that the circitry is there, up to a point ant after that you would need the harnessand all associated parts and pieces. it would be a very costly endeavor if i had to guess. you would most likely need the regulators and tracks for a pw truck. why is it so important? with manual windows so much less goes wrong.

I did this to a friends 03 truck a couple of months ago. I went to the parts store and bought motors and regulators but I used aftermarket window stitches. The switches actually cover the window crank hole. I would use upper end Dei actuators they don't have the drag that most actuators have.

the wiring isn't there on the 03 and up. the base model trucks can be had with power locks and the relays for the power locks are plugged into the left side of the dash, you can see the sockets for them there. if the trucks have power windows and locks then the relays are not there and a different wiring harness goes into the doors and the pdm and ddm control the motors.

Check this site out, I installed locks and windows in a friends truck, the windows seemed to work better than the stock ones in my truck, not a hard install at all.

I really gotta get on that damn tech article....
Anyways, here's a few threads that should answer MOST of your questions. I did this swap a couple months ago. It's not cheap, though you can buy cheap parts.
Maybe you weren't searching for the right things...?
