this one is for all you suspension savvy folks.. is there a way to convert the older style lift of coils spindles and arms to the newer style of dropped lowers with crossmembers without buying a whole new kit? Can this be done or is there just too much work involved?

You probably wouldn't be able to JUST buy the dropped Xmember and lower arms, you would still have to buy the whole kit, unless you found someone who had a used one they were willing to part out (good luck). One would be better off just buying the whole new kit, taking off the old and selling it, IMO. It would be dumb to just buy a part of the newer, improved kit (which all the parts are new on), as opposed to just buying pretty much the same whole kit and trying to make it work with older components. Might as well just buy the new kit and replace it all.
