what should i do to my truck first? i have a 1997 chevy 4x4 5.7l motor extended cab automatic .i want to go with a 4 or 6 inch lift or add some power to the rear wheels. i dont wanna put gears in my 4x4 bc i do alot and i mean ALOT of in town driving... that and gas prices just suck. or i wanna go with a bigger set of tires or head light assembly or a safari rack for the pickup... i dunno what to go with or how much that would run me. any ideas or comments. hit me up. thanks.

ok if you put on 4-6" of lift and rin 35" tires yor gonna kill your mileage, re-gearing will bring some of it back, but not much.
a simple crank of the tortion bars will lift the front end up matching the trucks naturally higher rear. throw on a set of nice 285's all terain and it will look good without killing yourself at the pump.
As for performance your gonna need to post up your trucks specifications if you want help on that. Year, Model, Engine, Tranny etc

Hello! :D I voted for power. The addons for suspension/exterior and all that would be nice, but not necessarily help as much right off the bat. I would say get some performance going, then add on the fun extras! Good luck man.
