I am really new to tbi stuff. But I am really interested in burning a chip.
I have been reading through the forum a lot lately. I am just curious if any one has any links to stuff that they would recommend reading?
I have a 1992 K2500 with a 5.7 liter.
Thanks.

I'm not totaly sure. When I was looking through the glove box after I got the truck I noticed warranty info for a new tyranny. It seems that the previous owner replaced it.
How would I go about finding out? It doesn't say on the warranty sheet that I found in the glove box. I am assuming it is whatever comes stock.

look on your computer in the glovebox and post the last four numbers from the part number. something like 7747 or 7427 or something like that.
or pop the hood and see how many cables there are on the bellcrank that turns the throttle shaft on the TBI. should be like two or three
or look in the glovebox at your RPO code sticker and post the RPO codes that start with M. a 700R4 is MD8

Where is the computer in the glove box?
In the links above, the second link does not work.

Remove the Glovebox Inside Liner, and the computer will be offset to the right.
