Is this practical?

THinking about maybe the next project being rebuild my vortec 350 into a 383 (not sure on exact specs yet), putting the Ramjet intake on it, running a 7427 with the MAF code AND converting the 7427 to port fuel.
I could have port fuel (a plus, and it's new to me), MAF (also new to me and seems to work great), a 383, and the ramjet intake.
Can anyone besides Haulin' mod the 7427 for port fuel?

I know Blue71 is running the 7427 in port mode. I wonder if there is a way to splice in the port fuel function into the MAF 7427 xdf.

whaddya guys think

Fast posted in my equivalent thread over at thirdgen- he's running MAF with his TBI-->TPI ecm mod.

Looks like he modded the calpak with a jumper and that's it.?
hopefully he'll chime in

The calpak that I am running with the MAF doesn't even have the jumper modified. I just modified the injector bias tables with a combination of CPI 4.3 and LT1 biases.

Fast your PM box is full\

Can you recommend me the best GM TPI parts to look for for a TPI conversion? 90-92 speed density? Corvette? I know the 9th injector sucks. Probably gonna grind a lot on the plenum and runners to help out. On that note, what should I do to help a stock TPI system out in terms of airflow? Trying to be wallet friendly, mainly looking for GM parts that I can grind/modify.
THanks man

My INBOX fills up too quickly here, use the one on TGO or IM me.

Corvette and F-body parts are very similar. Up to 1987 the setups where the same, sans the injectors. The lower manifold is different post 1987 due to the Vettes aluminum heads. Speed Density parts simplify things, but command a MUCH steeper initial price. For $65.00 you can get a kit to plug the cold start injector and the fuel rail. On my Van I had to use the F-car fuel rail. I really should have spent a few $$ and had S&P convert it to rear feed. The stock plenum and runners really don't matter, they are essentially the same. The MAF setups lack a provision to mount the MAP on the plenum. The 89-up throttle bodies had a throttle cam on them and their own style of throttle cable, I personally prefer the off-idle response characteristics of the NON-throttle cam throttle body. You can use LT1 or Mopar 360 injectors (24 lb/hr), if you grind down the stands the fuel rail bolts to on the lower manifold. To use your Vortec heads you are going to need a vortec specific lower intake.

All of these were running on a Stock 5.3 truck MAF and MAF table.

can you email me the bin/xdf you used for the MAF TPI rig?

If not, no big deal

ramjet manifold by itself is 450 bucks. ramjet fuel rail assy is 450 bucks. kit is 1400, and includes all the goodies. kinda dumb to not buy the kit. now I need 1400 bucks lol

edelbrock 3505/3506 looks like a good option, besides need to up fuel pressure

I have the 3506, not to bad a setup, being stuck to using the pico injectors kind of sucks.
Ya, you'll need 60 # of fuel pressure on 19# injectors with that 350HO.

91, I think your on better track, go with a ramjet.

I wish I knew whether or not it would fit with our accessory brackets. I *THINK* it will fit

I called edelbrock and asked them about the 19 pph injectors in the 3505 kit. They said if I took the (8) 19's out before installing, still brand new, and sent them back they would send me (8) 29 pph injectors for 40 bucks w/shipping. Not a bad deal, I guess.
FWIW- the regulator on the 3505/06 is 41-45 psi, GM LT1 reg, or so he said. He struck me as a decently intelligent person...

29pph of fuel is a lot

looks like the edelbrock setup didn't work to well for him.
-of course, I doubt his PCM was modded correctly for port fuel.?

I'm bagging this project for now. the TBI system is running great, so I am gonna see how far it takes me.

I dont mean to hi jack this thread but was wondering someone that has some knowledge of tuning. I have the ramjet/mefi pcm on my setup and bought the software to burn new tunes to it. But clueless on the tuning aspect. If anyone can help drop me a message.
