ok what is gonna ride better/be better? stock coils with 2" daystar spacers? or should I replace stocks with 2" lift coilsprings. also while we are at it what are your recommendations on shock absorbers, please include part number or how you would order to fit this lift.

id go for the new springs. They will be more properly "sprung" for a good ride. Jamming the daystar spacers will make your ride a bit stiffer, but if that is something you want (stiff ride) then you could go that route also.
I cant tell you what to do for shocks though as I have been absent from trucks for a little while. I really liked the ones i had on my truck, they werent too pricey and they did a great job with damping IMO. (procomp 9000's)

my spacers didn't make my ride much stiffer if at all. and all i've heard about lift coils is that they ride rough as hell. I can't tell you from experience with the coils but I do know how spacers are.

lift coils sprung properly...lol gimme a break! Get the spacers fo sho. I can't wait to take my lift coils out and swap in some spacers. Procomp 9000s on mine and they seem to do the job and weren't too expensive compared to other shocks.

Thats funny.. every truck i have rode in with coils sucks.. includding mine. If you just want 1.5 to two inches a coil spacer will ride better.
Coils do have there benifits but at least in my model and lift type ( spindle + UCA and coil) it really trashes your ride. However springs for a drop down style lift ride much better...

sounds like coil spacers are the winner, but I also heard, here from a guy at work that those spacers "flatten out" after a while, of course he hasn't had a lifted truck in about 15 years, so probably using rubber versus urethane, but any truth in this?

Yeah....coil spacers dont do too bad. I've got them on my truck, didnt make it much stiffer at all really. Too bad they didnt make a small diameter bolt in coil over....not too much travel...just a decent ride as well as lift. Eh...cant have your cake and eat it too i guess.
