Peel and Seal in the roofing section. It comes in a 6" by 25 Ft roll for around $15

Don't expect it to stick to the back wall for super long without help though. One of the major problems with any asphalt product, but it will plague the B-quiet as it is also asphalt based and won't hold up over time.

m5 can you reccomend anything that would help hold the product to the back wall?

Don't know how long it would take, but you can order RAAMat until tomorrow at last year's prices... Link's in my sig.

Some spray adhesive might work, idk... Maybe silicone...

i did three layers on my back wall yesterday and it seems like the stuff will never come off lol. it was pretty freakin sticky. for 15 bucks, it was worth a shot.

I took some 40 grit to surface and heated the peel n seal before I put it up. I dont think itll ever come off

It degrades over time, actually at first it has stronger adhesion than the good stuff, but in the long run it releases. Not much you can do to hold it on better.

what kind of time frame are you talking about on the degrade?

Kind of a dumb question, but where all do you put the stuff to really cut back on road/exhaust noise/drone? Doors, back wall behind the seat....what about the floor? How many layers to really help take away some exhaust drone? I'm on a major budget so this peel and seal will have to do

$ for $ even though it is cheaper it isn't as effective, save yourself the hassle and get something that works.
It isn't about layers for road noice, once you have attacked the resonations of the panels you need an acoustic absorber. Different locations for exhaust drone and road noise. Attacking your wheelwells and firewall will help with the tire noise, the floor and back wall the exhaust noise.

So peel and seal is only for vibrations? I'll need Raamat for exhaust/tire noise?

Raammat, Peel&seal, etc all add mass and reduce mechanical vibrations in your body panels. If you want to reduce wind noise and the like, then you need to use a closed cell foam product like ensolite....etc....

Peel n' Seal is a cheap ineffective version of Raamat. You need many layers of it to come close to the mass constraining properties of one layer of Raamat. Net effect is that Peel n seal is more expensive. To make things even better the adhesive layer fails in the not so long term 1mo+ causing it to separate from the surface thereby rendereing itself useless as its only goal is to add mass to the sheet metal.
Constrained mass layers only affect the capability of your body panels from resonating (ie vibrating and creating noise). Regrettably most of the noise in a vehicle is not generated via these panels, for instance exhaust and tire noise are self generating. Adding mass to the panels will help from amplifying these sounds but will not reduce the sound level very much. In order to do that you need an acoustic layer. Open cell foam actually does really well, but is porous and collects water and therefore mold etc...which is why closed cell is used so often. Products like Ensolite do wonders for absorbing these sounds.

where can you buy ensolite? and wher exactly should one apply it? i do notice a lot of tire/road noise and i agree, the firewall is probably the mail culprate for that. i only did my back wall with peel and seal and maybe a 1/4 of my back floor, 2 layers but if what you said (m5) is true and the stuff separates after a short period then i'll re-do it. i need to pull my back seat and box back out pretty soon to carpet the box anyway. i appreciate all of your help with this topic m5.

You can get ensolite from raammat.com under the products section. Youll need to use a spray adhesive when applying it. It should be used on the doors and floor imo. Back wall and ceiling would be nice too.

To reduce tire/road/exhaust noise, how many layers of ensolite should be used? Is there anything I can pick up at home depot/lowes that will do the same thing as ensolite? I guess I'm asking about a different brand of either closed or open cell foam.
If so, what section would I find this stuff in?

uhm, well i think that any closed cell foam would work so long as it was thin and plyable. But to my knowledge, it can be a little hard to find.

You can use about 3" of juut or a couple inches of open cell camping pads from wally world, but it will cost you way more for the same effectiveness.
