I feel retarded, but I can't figure out how to remove the stock bolt from the terminal. Yes, I unscrewed it from the battery but I'm not sure how to remove it from the washer/rubber around it. I don't want to cut/break anything if I don't have to.

Thanks

I made a few small cuts in the rubber rim that holds the washer in, just so I could pull the stock bolt out. I wasn't able to do it either without making a little cut in the rubber cover. I'm not sure how to do it without cutting it. I am planning doing a "Big 3" upgrade, so it didn't matter to me to make the cut.

do you have to remove the washer/bolt assembly from the rubber in order to get the bolt out of the washer?

Cheap Stinger POS.... while wrenching in the terminal, the bolt snapped....It was brand new....

usually the battery will strip out before you snap the bolt. be careful next time they only need to be tight enough to keep the cable from moving.

It is easier to get the bolt out if you cut the rubber but it will just push out if you fight with it!
