I just ordered some soundstream 10s and a custom box to go under the back seat. There called van goghs or something like that.. the amp is also soundstream amp also. Probably not the best stuff out there but Im sure it will be more than enough bass for my needs. Now Im looking to buy some regular speakers for my doors and possibly in the back. What do you guys recommend? Should I even bother replacing the 4x6's in the back at all or should I just get a good pair of 6.5 or 6.75's for the front doors and amp them? I really want something that sounds good and will be nice and clear over the bass in the back. Please recommend me some speakers and an amp to go with them. I know the best thing to do is to go to a shop and listen to what they have but Id rather ask you guys and see what you guys think. I prefer the speakers where the tweeter is in the middle of the woofer.. I dont know what you call that. Its easy for me to just install one speaker and not have to worry about mounting a seperate tweeter some where. Also I hear its best to mount them over some kind of mdf adapter rather than just screw them on the factory metal under there. I dont have the means to make them so how much would something like that cost? Anyone want to make me an offer? As far as price range for the speakers.. no more than 150 bucks for the pair would be nice and maybe a couple hundred for the amp. Please help this noob out..

I would just do a nice component set in the front. You should be able to find what some manufacturers call a convertable(a componet set with provisions to mount like a coax) amp those and forget the rear location. As for the baffles go to the pawn shop and buy a cheap jigsaw and home depot sells partial sheets of wood.
