[Pre-Game]

well guys, with the show season starting in about 2 weeks... (Blood Drag.. in S.C.) I figured i should get started on doing the things I procrastinated on all winter (if u wanna call it that here in FL)

But I have had my end links and 4 link tabs for months now and no motivation to do anything with em.. till now,. I got my 2x2 and started making rough cuts to weld in the end links.

Tomorrow i will be installing my edc finally.. sheesh its been almost 8 months now without... i dont really feel like explaining much more than that so just check back in here and there and I will update when i get stuff done..

i am in the process of cleaning it up, its bad right now cause im getting rid of the ABS.. un plugged wires everywhere... i unplugged it to see if my truck would still run with out it lol.. i need to make a new battery bracket also... eh, to much working cuts into my drinking time..

as for the booster... that stupid thing is the reason this truck got body dropped.. i had to take out the old one cause it went bad.. but in order for me to get to the bolts with my fat little fingers i had to pull the dash.. then in a pissed off mood i decided it was body drop time.
small update: my rims will be in on the 13th.. (not in time for Blood Drag..) - so pissed.

Dude if you have an electric fan why don't you take the motor fan of? Will it over heat with out it? Without a fan shroud it does not seem like it would pull much air. I was just wondering cause I received a fan about that size for free.

Seems like it would. Mine are off set less than that and they flex bad. But maybe it didn't much cause it was a 2 link.

the muffler is green cause that adds horse power.. no my buddy is a jackass the green in high temp paint so he had to paint the tip.

They flex, but will have to do for now, i need to buy the SD bag on bar brackets and re do it.. but i would rather have twisty bars than that stinkin two link again heh...

Just run a support on the top of the bag mounts with some 2x2 3/16 wall kind like this

/-------\ that will keep them from twisting IMO its a lot cheaper than redoing the mounts when thats all you need.

BTW love the Grabber green on everything lol

im not sure if i understand what you mean...? the bars are twisting because of the bushings giving... nothin i can really do except center the bag more on the bar..

No it's not the frame twisting it the actual link bar cause the bag is off set. The only way to fix it is to cut the bag mount off and center it better.

while i was under my truck today fixing a brake line, i noticed the bag mounts were bending, even with the 3/8" steel gussets. i could deal with the bars twisting but i dont want to take any chances with the brackets breaking. im pulling the bed off tonight & building a canti attatchment like the kp 6 link except mine will be a 5-link.

Will the new tire/wheel combo clear and not hit those lower bars? When I mocked mine up for bigger rollers, there was a big interference, So I went all inboard with the 4-link.

No links.Try looking under plastic laminating,counter tops,cabinets etc..Its pretty involved but looks incredible and is super durable when done propperly. I used to do it all the time at work.It takes a few special tools though.

the 4.3 has a different radiator and a different shroud. Its hard to come by a 4.3L fullsize shroud in a boneyard.. atleast around here. Im gonna hope a s-10 has the same shroud.

my uppers on the rear were coming off the frame like a sardines can... the welds didnt break but the metal around it did... either way its not something i welded onto my truck.. fixed for now till i re do the whole setup :)

i re did the setup but used the same bracket location, i liked the lift and ride quality when it was 2 linked, minus the articulation stand point, but i didnt see a need to change it at the time,. aw well. learning from mistakes only makes it better the next time. lol... update. carpet is ready to go in tomorrow, truck is completely gutted haha
