Hello guys, So i decided to build a thread for my 1993 Chevy Suburban this my 3rd Minitruck/Fullsize inspired build. My last build was featured in many truck mag's as show coverage. Now i am ready to go full Cover truck. I figured this would be a great place to share my ideas and get some feedback into my build, I have read and watch some build on here over the yr's and i praise you hardcore Chevy builder's to continue and finish your builds.. Here's some preliminary photos of my truck and what state is currently in.

-1993 Chevy Suburban v8 350-480LE Tranny Stock
-AirRide equipment is 6 Firestone 3 link setup Bag on bar, with 4 Bag's on rear bars to support the weight.
-Shaved and also cadi-Clipped
-Stock Interior & a Full sliding rag top.

Plans Include- A mildly built 350 and a Mildly Rebuilt tranny,Suicide the rear doors,96 Caddy Tail's,Sir Michaels roll pan.Paint fiberglass, and Reupholster interior,Also biggest challenge is the Full interior swap out from the 93 Version to a 97 Version.

Here is what i started with..

hmmm, shouldnt need 4 bags for any kind of truck as far as supporting the weight goes... usually people use bigger, better bags rather than more of them. definately ditch 2 of them, and go with some slams... its a sick 20 footer tho IMO! good luck bro

Neat.
When you do paint it,repaint the trim around the side/rear windows black again. A hatch/tailgate swap would really clean up the rear.
How is that sliding ragtop workin' out?

Oh yeah, the taillights. :puke:

The black moulding around the side glass, and the rear door glass. It's painted blue on yours.
Seems a lot easier to do a swap. So much cleaner, IMO.

Mine had a wiper originally 96thebossgrnchv, I capped the hole (can't see it in the pic) looks ok. I plan on putting a camera in the hole cause I can't see a damn thing out the back.

yeah, on my old suburban i had the bags on the bars....they were firestones and i had to throw about 150 psi to get the ass up pretty good. I put on slams and only had to get about 100 psi in them. Ride was much better too.

So i took the dash out and found a mess of wires from the previous owner and wow what a freaking disaster!!! looks like i am gonna have to go threw every wire and trace and get rid of what i don't need and remove it... it's got no a/c so all the a/c **** gotta go!!

also removed the door panels i got all the new 98 door panel's i am gonna use the same skin and just modify it too fit, i am not gonna take the skin out too much trouble.. gonna remove the oem handles and go with after market ones like lokar billet ones .. gonna clean it up and i will take new pictures of before and after for you guys..

This stuff is valspar high gloss epoxy paint it's freaking thick.. but before i rolled it on i seam sealed all the holes in the floor and any misc holes, i sanded it down lightly ..and it went on like a charm. i am happy with the results.. plus it's thick so it don't chip off i tested when i put in my seat on the floor and didn't scuff it. good stuff
