I am trying to install a carbon fiber bezel and I need to remove the clear plastic lens that cover the gauges on a 2001 silverado, I would rather ask first instead of after I crack something!!!

which brand bezel did you get....so far, every bezel I got (2 so far) went on TOP of the clear plastic....returned both....I do want one that goes DIRECTLY on the gauges....

The bezel is from e-bay, the brand is Alfa Otto out of El Monet Ca. I could place it on the plastic but it would like -hit, I know that they can be placed under the plastic, but the lens is glued in place, I believe they use a hot exacto knive but I'm not sure. any great ideas would sure help????
