ok i have a 1996 chevy K1500 ext cab z71 and i was wondering if any of yall had ever taken off the cats and ran 2 1/2 to a dual in dual out flowmaster then out the back and used the o2 sensor sims to take off the o2 sensors. i want to know how the reation and gain in performace was and if its recomended to do so

I know about them with my Ford Mustang Cobra...I have MIL eliminators which tell the computer that the cats are still there so the check engine light doesn't come on...google it, you will find the ones you need...
Unless you can turn the check engine light off with a tune but I doubt it with a 1996...

Oh, sorry...well I wish I knew what my car is putting out now since I took off the cats and put flows on...as soon as I dyno it, I would find out...I know the gain is "a gain" because you have less restricted airflow in your exhaust but number wise, I can't tell ya..

your not goin to gain much if anything from it, I wouldnt expect alot from it because you'll only notice it being a little louder from the cats being gone... We put some 02 simulators in my friends dakota with a 360.. he got them from ebay for about 60$ I think...

ive got the sims and im going to go with the cherry bomb extream thats on my truck now. i just want to know how its going to react as in is it good for it to take the cats off or what
