So did I, and I gave him some "pointers" and it is still a time consuming bit(h! Nevermind splicing the new wiring and a/c ducts and heater controls and yadda, yadda, yadda!:(

That would be cool to do but I think it woulr bee to big of a head-ache to do. If you do it make a tech sheet for it and put in on the site for others. Good luck.

If you're seriously dreaming about doing this mod to your truck, it will turn into a nightmare!

My original dash was cracking so I swapped out with a same-year dash that I had smoothed and painted. I did enough cussing to make any sailor proud. After that chore, I wouldn't even consider updating with all the wiring changes and a/c duct changes and whatever other crap you'll run into.

If you decided to undertake this change, I pray for you, my friend.

The only way to really go about this is getting a complete interior from a wrecked or parts truck. A member over at CTW wrecked his 96 and swapped the whole interior into his new 89. It was ALOT of work.
