K on 4l60e

I got a rebuilt 4l60e ,I'm installing,everything is good I'm curious as to what the large K in the trans housing or case means or ?

usually they came in the trucks and vans they are a liittle thicker case other than that no real difference

my new 4l60e with the "K" has a different tail, the speedo plug in is a different size & on oppisite side,also flywheel cover plate area is different, i will have to drill & tap new holes,there is a bracket by the neutral,park switchthat bolts on to hold shift cable,there is no place to bolt it on rebuilt 4l60e with "K"
