This is a warning to those of you who are planning on getting a Fuddle Racing converter (the product itself I have no knowledge of, aside from what I have read)... this is just my experience with dealing with Fuddle and John Camerone

Around the beginning of March I began talking through John Camerone via email, his responses were very quick and he was very helpful at specing out my converter. John asked that I pay with a money order because it would be easier to keep things in order, so that is what I did per his request. The money order for $675 was sent to John around the middle of March and was confirmed by John later that he did infact receive it. Over the next month or so I sent John emails asking how the status was because he had told me it would be approx. 2 weeks or so and the converter would ship out.

John,

I was just wondering around when you think the converter will ship out, I was talking with the guy at the garage where I am doing the swap and was hoping to be able to do it the weekend of the 19th of this month, do you think there is any possibility ill have the converter by then? If not I want to try to give this guy enough notice to push it back a weekend.

Thanks John!"

John,

I emailed you a couple weeks ago and never heard back, if you could give me some kind of update on the converter I would greatly appreciate it, it is the last part I am waiting on for my swap and I would like to work on it the first weekend of May if it all possible.

Thanks

Bill"

NEITHER of which I received a response from.

Shortly after a few more phone calls, emails and pms with no word I started this thread.

http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=921015

At which time John proceeded to lie about DHL losing the package that was shipped a month ago (when infact it wasn't shipped until May 13th... confirmed by DHL and Howard Johnson (John's builder)).

I received the converter May 19th at which time I realized was damaged due to terrible packaging and someone shipping converter bolts half threaded in the holes. John was quick to respond and let me know he would take care of it and also requested pictures, at which time I was quick to respond as well and send him the pictures and to let me know where to go from there. Needless to say almost a month went by and I never heard a word from John after that.

Here is the side of the box where I believe it poked through

http://www.pittspeed.com/uploaded/Converter100_1451.JPG

June 9th I called DHL and had them pick the converter back up from my house which they did June 10th because I got tired of waiting and figured this would iniate the claim on Johns part.

John then proceeded to feed me his bull**** when I questioned whether he had it or not and he said he will let me know when he hears something and that he didn't know where the converter was.

I called DHL to find out what was up with it and it was infact delivered on Tuesday June 17th and was signed for by Howard Johnson. (which is exactly one week after I had it picked up and John claimed he had no clue where it was a month after I had it picked up?)

Now some where in there I ordered another converter (a Yank... that was shipped to my door step about 10 days after it was paid for... what a ****ing concept) because I needed to get my truck on the road which I had stated to John and asked several times for a refund. Now his intentions are to (and this isn't even what he said to me, this was via a moderator on LS1Tech because John will not return my calls, emails or pms) fix the converter on his own and send it back to me "brand new", knowing full well I have no use for this converter instead of refunding me my money because I got tired of waiting for him and needed my truck back on the road. It will be roughly FIVE months next week since John was paid and I still have received any word whether the converter is repaired and on its way back, whether he took responsibility (I highly doubt) and decided to file a claim to rightfully get me my money back... I haven't heard anything from him.

I cant stress enough to be VERY careful when dealing with John Camerone and Fuddle Racing he is very good at responding back to ppl right up until you pay him.. then after he's got your money good ****ing luck. Most will NOT be happy with the result. Here are a few others that can vouch for this

and incase my reputation would be in question here is my PT feedback and there are tons on there that will vouch for me

So please, before you order your converter (unlike I did) Google "Fuddle"... you will see what I am talking about.

D@mn. what a pain. that sucks, I hate to hear about issues like this. hopefully he will make things right, but it doesn't sound like it. I never pay with a MO, no way to refute it or reverse charges or anything.

if he's registered with the BBB you could file a complaint against him there.

edit - just saw the BBB site link. it says they have had 1 claim against them recently, if that's not yours, you should file a complaint.

Thanks for the heads up Beast. Screw that BS defenitely not dealing with any FUDDLE products. I remember back in the day at PT's.net everyone was talking about how good his products were but with that kind of service they end up bieng pure junk.

That's got's to be that "I dont give a damn just ship it" packaging ever. I know we recieve converters in a plastic container strapped down when we order them from GM.

I have filed a BBB complaint and this was their response

The Better Business Bureau has made two attempts to contact the business regarding the above referenced complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response from the company.

This complaint case has now been closed as an UNANSWERED complaint in their file.

The Better Business Bureau develops and maintains Reliability Reports on companies across the United States and Canada. This information is available to the public and is frequently used by potential customers. In the case of your complaint, the company's failure to promptly give attention to the matter will be reflected in the report we give to consumers about them.

If the company has contacted you directly and resolved this complaint, please notify the BBB immediately.

As for the Yank I have never been more satisfied with customer service. Dave and Mike are awesome with their responses and run a great business!

Hopefully this will catch up with Fuddle in the end

Best part about that page of their website is the

"ALWAYS leave a message!!!

If we miss your call, we WILL call you back VERY SOON!"

I have never gotten one returned call in the 5 months I have been dealing with them.

I wonder if Salt Lake has any helicopter rides? Im sure they do, nice time of year and all. A 3000 ft drop through the top of his vehicle should do the trick.

I guess this is somewhat of a result

Unfortunately we have had to ban Fuddle.
I understand this doesn't assist in resolving your issue, but we have done everything within our power to get them to address LS1tech users concerns, and they have not been forthcoming.
We encourage you to make contact with them offline.
