I never swaped to the '95 and up dash. I just took my original one out (for replacement:mad: ) and to paint the new one. That alone was a bit(h!:cussing: Besides the wiring.... you will have to deal w/ duct work, heater & a/c controls, computer relocation etc, etc. Good luck if you attempt it and if I were you I would buy and study your dash wiring diagram and the newer year dash you are going to use.

Just check salvage yards in your area. I picked up my dash for $100 at a yard in Oklahoma City. :)

I got mine new dash from a GM dealer in Mass. He was a sponsor (at the time) of the four gen. site I was a member of. The price of the dash new was around 700.00. With my "club discount" it was about 400.00.:(

 Man, with $400 just for the dash, you're damn right I don't!! I'd probably have a heart attack! Did you buy it all from the dealer? Did you have insurance money for it?

$400 for a dash, damn that's high, I didn't give but $400 for an 89 extended cab, longbed silverado that was running and driving, that needs a front end put on it. But I'm going to junk it and use the perfect dash, tilt/cruise steering colum, and bucket seats/console in my truck.:D :D :D
