View Full Version : Disabling automatic headlights... 99GMC 08-27-2001, 09:39 PM http://forums.vmag.com/ptsilverado/messages/149.html Josh flatlander 08-27-2001, 11:00 PM what i'd like to know is how do i keep my low beams on when i turn on the high beams? i know there is a relay of some sort you can buy but there must be a easier non-money spending way ?! right??? Loki 08-28-2001, 09:15 AM I would think that you could split a wire from the high beams to the low beams, so that your lows would still get power when you turn on your high beams, but i don't know if that would work in vice versus Anyhow, I know that with my truck, and i have a 2K1 to turn off the auto lights at night time, all you have to do is when you get in the truck and start the truck the automatic lights come on, just reach your right hand over to the dome over-ride button and push it in and out about 3-4 times and they go off...giving you control of the lights manually through the switch. This works with the DRL's too, but I don't know what year the manufaturers came up with this way to turn them off, because a buddy of mine has an Xtended S-10 and it doesn't work on his truck... Please tell me that i am no the first to notice this...I don't want to give myself that much credit. :D 1badgmc 08-28-2001, 11:25 AM Just pull the bulbs!
