I have not seen a FF kit in person but still sounds better than and Fabtech kit. If you don't want to fork out the money for a CST kit FF is a good choice. OT An earlier post in your intro thread. One, they are not cheap $225+install and two, they are functional when it comes to tire clearance. Although you may not like them alot of us with 4wd have them and for good reason. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I said, "why lift a 2wd?" 02hoe 01-07-2003, 01:18 PM See this thread for the full force suspension. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42157 Suareezay 01-07-2003, 07:31 PM If its in any way related to CST it must be a pretty good lift kit. But that just doesnt look at all like 7" of lift....looks more like a 3" spindle lift to me. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I said, "why lift a 2wd?" i had a body lift on my 95 Z71. mine was a pa kit i paid $93 my cost. I installed it. nothing but problems. the only time it gave me extra clearance for was my bell housing bolts when i did my clutch. I had probs with rattles and noises associated with the lift. not to mention a shorter shifter:gay: My frame also looked stupid along with low bumpers..my z's 4x4 didn't work even with a $200 posi-lock i dont want another 4x unless it has a solid axle y2kboti 01-07-2003, 09:36 PM Originally posted by 2drTAHOEz71 If its in any way related to CST it must be a pretty good lift kit. Looks good but the lack of sidewall makes the truck look shorter. Originally posted by ranchhand i had a body lift on my 95 Z71. mine was a pa kit i paid $93 my cost. I along with many member have a body lift and have nothing but good things to say. Rattles? Should've retorqued the bolts. Low bumpers? Should have bought/installed bumper relocation brackets. 4x4 didn't work because of posi? Ever heard of a locker! LowRed 01-07-2003, 10:02 PM posi-lok for the front. cable actuated positive engagement system. still no work. bolts on body lift retorqued w/ threadlock. ranchhand frontend and rear bumper weak as hell b/c of relocating. 4wp couldn't even find the source of my rattle. neither could gm tech. tech claims lift related, installed correct. so adios z71 hello 02 no more body lifts Suareezay 01-07-2003, 10:25 PM i had a body lift on my 95 Z71. mine was a pa kit i paid $93 my cost. Should have said that to begin with instead of, "cheap a$$ body lift" :nono: CrazyAggie05 01-07-2003, 11:50 PM oh boy, josh your causing all sorts of problems arent ya? Jeff@PLC 01-08-2003, 12:43 AM Full Force Suspension is ABSOLUTELY NOT RELATED to CST. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if CST hated FFS for stealing their designs. It's like Coke and Pepsi - similar but not the same. FFS basically copied the CST design (no patents on their products) and FFS sells their own version for less. It sucks if you are CST and somebody just comes along and copies your product... but it's no different than what others have done. The CST quality however is higher than FFS. The difference in the 2wd Silverado kit quality between FFS / CST products isn't night and day but you can see it in the pretty welds on the CST spindles. If you've seen a CST spindle in person you know what I mean. Regarding the kit... it's a true 6-7" kit. As we all know (or should know) a 3" coil spring doesn't ALWAYS lift ALL trucks the full 3" inches. The fabricated 4" spindles provide 4" inches of lift and the springs are good for 2-3" inches. I've seen the same set of springs installed on what appeared to be identical trucks that sat with about a 3/4" inch difference between them. Call it assembly line tolerances, call it whatever you want, not all trucks get a full 7" inches from a 7" kit. Yes, with fiberglass and some trimming you could run a 35" or metric equivalent tire. To be perfectly honest... almost all the Silverado 6-7" 2wd kits that use a cast spindle are about the same in quality and performance. I however make an exception to this rule with Chassis Tech / AIM products. I've seen the aftermath of a few AIM products that bit the dust and I refuse to consider their products as a viable alternative. Their quality might be better than it was but... I'll say it over and over until people listen... shocks are what make the difference. Spend less on the kit, more on the shocks and I bet you'll be a happy camper. You can take a stock truck suspension, bolt on a pair of $1000 dollar shocks and go racing. You can't take a stock truck, bolt on a $2000 dollar kit and do the same with stock shocks. Jeff @ PLC PS - Ryall - I write and you just ignore me man... where's the love? y2kboti 01-08-2003, 12:52 AM I guess "spin off" wasn't the best term to use :banghead: copycat would be more like it.
