Might as well give it a shot. Tried this before (not me but Mark) and it sorta didn't fall through. Who wants to try a group buy on the Escalade front end clips? It would be the Mertek kit, there's people who have positive words on it (ask Mark) so I figure let's go for it. I PM'd him about it, maybe he'll chime in with some words and ideas on where to go for it. Looking for around 5 guys, you'll *possibly* save a couple hundred doing this, I stress *possibly*...cause obviously we'll have to wait and see. So reply if you are interest or maybe if you kinda would like to, and are a bit skeptical on the Mertek kit. Thanks!

If you guys are wanting to do a GP on the Caddy clip I have no problem with it. I'll have to talk to Jim and see where we can sell it at and what the minimum would be. If you have any questions at all about this kit, just ask me. I have personally installed and have 1st and knowledge of it. It is the kit we used on my bro's truck in these couple pics. Also, that is a 99+ Sierra bumper we used, we decided not to go with the Escalade bumpercap. The kit comes complete from all the brackets to even the bulbs. We installed the kit in around 2 hours from removing the stock fenders, hood, grille and bumper to replacing it with all replacement pieces.

I could've sworn Mark got it down to 1300 or so? I maybe wrong so don't take my word on it....I would totally go for it at that price and put aside anything else I am considering doing to my truck.

Because the '99-'00 Caddy clip won't work on your truck and the '02 Caddy clips cost more. :read:

Yep, but maybe the vendor would go for it and lower that one a bit, I mean it is another sale....atleast we'd have another buyer. That'd be a vendor decision more than ours.

Trust me I work with vendors everyday, at LS1.com weve got GPs going on all the time that cover different years, engines, various apps. A good vendor will discount them for the applicable year to get another sale, if a business doesnt like business, Iwish them the best of luck because theyll need it!!

Oh.. 1 more thing.. the 02 is ALOT more.. reason being is that it is all OEM parts.. but I could also discount it as well in a GP, but it will still cost a lot more then the 88-98..

The GP price really is dependent on how many are going to be purchased... Vauge enough? Seriously I would need to know a quanity before I give a price publicly.

I say estimate a price for 5 guys, including one of those guys for a newer clip. We got, what almost 4 now? I'm sure some haven't checked this thread...so asking for a final time on the whatever board maybe could draw one or two more buyers.

ok guys, just got word. $1650 includes everything needed for the conversion and also includes shipping. Shipping is normally $200 on these becuase it has to go freight. If you are serious about this, shoot me a PM and I'll let you know where to send the $ and how long to expect shipment. I am still checking on the '02 clips.

I'm thinking the kits are the same, just this price contains shipping with that Truckin' one doesn't involve the shipping in the overall price. With shipping, that 1499 kit in Truckin' is gonna cost you near 1700.

This kit isnt thhe mertek. airdaddy told me it is the inprocarwear one. if it is manufactored differently, i'm up. i've heard some of them have soft fenders and hoods. but if everything is good, i'm set to buy at the end of february-middle march. thas when the truck is getting bagged

I wanted a custom hood, not the stock one, but I don't think I can get it with that, the grill however I can buy anytime. I just didn't wanna get stuck w/two hoods if I had to buy the custom one seperate.

true, but you shold have no problem getting rid of and escalde hood, alot of people try to peice the conversion together through places like this, swap meets and ect.
