a 15K bill........at least thats what the guy I got it from paid, I got it for 8 cash, a little bit more than I needed, but it was so nice I couldn't pass it up, only ran for dyno time, but built as a turbo motor, just had to swap the cam for a blower cam, plug the turbo oil fittings (blue anodized on the front of the pan) and figure out how to make those fuel rails work with an ac compressor, its not goin easy but its gonna work out...but I hope its worth it, with my luck it'll puke the tranny the first or second run down the track.

but dorian at procharger convinced me I'd be really cool if I went with a F1SC, can spin it higher (which my drivetrain won't handle) than the D1SC and its got a better step up ratio (pretty much the ratio at which the blower spools up) of 5.0 to 1 as compared to the 4.10 to 1 of the P1SC and the D1SC, thats getting mated to a big powerstroke diesel intercooler (same as ken's gmck1500 sc in the tech articles) that better be able to flow enough boost for me. Needless to say, there's still alot to be done, but eventually it will come together and beat the snot out of mustangs, now I can even run with teh blown and bottle stangs, with a 5400 lb truck, just hope I don't hit 11's, then I'll need a rollbar...don't want a rollbar.

Holy smokes! you are getting to the point of no return from the addiction :D That is going to be one badass rig! Can't wait to see how it runs. What exactly happened to the old motor? Sam

well the head gasket went poof...and all my coolant was blowin straight out my tail pipe (the white cloud about a block long confirmed this) why?? who knows, too much pressure, plugs say I was running on the rich side. maybe its just my insatiable desire to beat the living snot out of my truck. but she still got me home.
now if it ever runs again I will be the evil ruler of all FSC with the heaviest fastest beast on the site, or at least I can dream

samuraite.....install that damn blower already so you can understand the power of what you have sitting in that huge box. one mash on the pedal, 20 feet of rubber and then it will all become very clear:devil:

Box? Geez it's all assembled in my extra bedroom, ready to go :D
I had a scarey experience with my superchips tuner today. I had uninstalled it, thiking I was putting the ATI on right away. I tried to re install it today, and it crashed during the programming, killing mPCM! Luckily, removing the battery cables fixed it, but now I have that Damn superchips ! speed limiter stored in my stock PCM programming. I think this may cause some probs down the road, not to mention the tuner has to be sent in to be re-flashed. It worked pretty well, giving me crisper power(the Atap log shows the timing increases) but I will be selling that ******* after I get it back from superchips. I have heard of thers having this happen too. I used to piggyback the HPPIII, and the superchips, only using tuning from sc, and the shift correc, and speedometer correc from my HPP. Not anymore.
So. as you can tell, I am glad to not be driving a rental with my truck at the dealer right now! Sam

did you install the blower yet? I'm waiting for results, at least I don't have a tranny to even drop my engine into my truck......nothin to hold up the rear.

Hey man,
have been resting alot till I get my surgery. I can only walk around a few minutes , and barely sit at all. I will be better soon, and I got my LS1Edit yesterday, but I couldn't get it connected to the PCM. I only messed with it a few minutes. I can't wait though. I have to look at my kit in my bedroon every day. Very soon :)
