At 34K miles, my 2001 C1500 now needs it's third set of front hubs. I have the stock aluminum wheels with 35x12.5x16 SSR-58Rs. I'm guessing the weight of the SSRs are too much for my 2WD hubs. They hubs are just press fit together and are not rebuildable. The extra weight must be causing the Timken bearings to spread apart as there is nothing in the hub design to hold it all together.
Anyone know of any aftermarket options to the factory hubs? I'm not thrilled about paying $600 bucks every 17K miles for new hubs. I would rather pay for a long term solution, other than running smaller tires.

Lets see, 35/12.5/16 + Half ton 2WD wheel bearings = broken parts. Hmm lets think about that now.

could you put the 3/4 ton parts in there, or will they not fit? i'm not too hip to the 2wd... :D
