i want to run at least 33's and was going to get the 7" cst and then later down the road add the b/l and 35's....the problem i have run across is that the CST kit is about 1300 shipped to my door. i can get the fabtech performance kit (coils, upper arms, shocks) for 375 shipped to me and then add a body lift and come out much cheaper...this will be more of a pavement pounder than anything so i want to retain some decent ride characteristics...what should i go with?
i honestly would have to save every penny till the end of the summer before i could get the CST and such, but i could have that **** lifted and everything by beginning to mid summer if i do it the 3" + 3" way....would i be tall enough and do i need to worry about rubbing? another option is to get the 4" spindle that is about 650 shipped to me and then add the bodylift on top of that for a 7" lift?

if i were you i would do the 4 inch spindle and bodylift if you want ride quality.
my buddy used to have a 95 swb truck that he put the 3 inch fabtech performance lift on. the thing rode like a$$. much harsher than stock

ok well what shocks should i get for the 4" spindle...i will be getting the kit from Jeff@PLC if i go this route...will the CST kit ride better than the fabtech kit with the coils and such? i can get an older style used Fabtech 6" kit for around 800 or should i get the spindle with fabtech shocks for $650 and add the bodylift on top of that?

what ever you do, dont get fabtech shocks....they are crap.....get bilsteins....little bit more, but well worth it when it comes to ride quality :head:

with that 10" lift, I think you'll prolly have to have your driveshaft lengthened. Also, if it doesn't come with brakelines, you're going to need them with that lift. Just something to keep in mind.:)

Yes whiplash does 2wd...I am pretty sure.

my truck can barely fit 35s without trimming with 7 inches of lift. you wont even be close with a 2wd

hmmm. well a little trimming means something different to everyone.
i personally would never trim metal, i just dont like the idea. plastic is fair game.
but a little trimming does allow a lot more tire to fit.

I guess the 7" suspensions don't need driveshafts because they are not lifted enough to require it.

I still think that if you lift your truck 4" with the spindles, then 3" with the body lift, you could fit a 35" AT, or something with a moderately aggressive tread pattern (not M/T). Now, there would probably still be a little trimming, and there may still be some rubbing from time to time, but I think you could do it.
Just going by my experiences. I fit 32" AT's on my truck with no trimming, but keep in mind, the tires are actually 31.7" OD. I think with trimming, I could have fit 33's on my truck. If that's the case, you should be able to fit 35's, should.
I'll get some pictures up ASAP for you to see, and make your own decisions, because everyone's different.
