currently i have a >>single 3 inch IN dual 2.5 inch OUT<< 50 series DF Flowmaster.
at idle it has a nice mellow rumble, but when u get over 4000RPM theres really no throaty rumble.
i have heard that the magnaflows have a more silent rumble but when u step on it it gets loud.... this true????
is there any muffler out there that offers both??? whith the same performance??

mostly just when i go on the on ramps on the freeways:D
but after a certain RPM range i can only here like "AIR" no noise:(
what about headers??? what will those to the sound??
dont think all im after is sound. im planning on getting some TOG headers but for performance, just curious about the sound. just wish i could have a throaty sound all the way up to when i shift at WOT:crazy:

in higher RPMs the exhaust pulses are very close together, that probably is why it sounds like that. headers will deepen the sound a little

I'm running a Dynomax on my 4.3 and it always has a good rumble to it. Past 4500rpms mostly all you can hear is engine but anywhere below that it sounds nice and deep. I don't think it's very loud but I've been told it's as loud as some glasspacks. :rocking:
I have a dynomax dual exhaust on my truck, and it sounds nice all the way up the power band. Little interior resonance around 1500, but quiet in the cab otherwise.
