....how long will the engine hold up?? Ive heard a few stories of bottom end components goin out after the addition of a supercharger. I know I'll need to beef up the rear end and tranny.
When the current engine goes out I'll either replace it with a new factory engine or rebuild it with a stronger bottom end. For the tranny upgrade im thinkin on a shift kit and vette servo. The truck is a 95 ext cab GMC w/350. Oh yeah....will I gain any cool supercharger-like noises???
:naughty:

Your engine will last as long as it would as if it were stock....assuming you are using realistic boost levels. I would slap a shift kit/servo in your trans when you do the blower to harness the new found power.

How many miles are on your truck? If they're high the extra power may cause you some problems down the road. Whipple is a twin-screw type I think and I don't believe you'll get the gear whine that you get with the s-trim type chargers. We put a vortech on my buddys IROC a few years back and he blew the motor in a week because the bottom end wasn't built enough. Like CKTA said, don't go crazy with the boost level and you should be okay.
