Iwent to a GMC dealership and saw that there was a traction button where the 4wd drive button would usually be. What does this button actually do. Could I add it to my truck easily?

I think it works by applying the brakes to stop the spinning. All I know is that we both have the locking diffs and I spin way more in my 03 Z-71 than I do in her truck. MarineBlue03GMC 03-14-2003, 07:49 PM I have an 03 with traction control. When the button is pushed it shuts it off. Normally it remains on. When the system is on it will prevent wheelspin by letting off the throttle. When this happens the words "traction control active" appears on my computer display. When racing or driving fast this should definitely be off. Its great to have when its raining though or in other foul weather. :D vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
